Harold by Lucas

Hi, my name is Lucas. I would like to tell you a story about a guy I used to know. His name was Harold. Harold was a swell guy, a really good citizen.
One time Harold was walking down the side walk, not too far away from his house in fact. He came across a man sleeping on a bench. “That sure is sad” thought Harold “I wonder if there is some way I could help this man.” Just then the homeless man woke up and noticed Harold standing there. The homeless man asked Harold if he had anything to eat. Harold said “Yes, wait here please.”  Harold went and got some soup from his house and gave it to the homeless man. Harold owned a store and gave the homeless man a job there. The homeless man was able to save enough money to buy his own house. Later in the mans life he was able to get married.
I think that Harold was being a good citizen by helping that homeless man. Harold was bettering the community by helping the homeless man. It shows good citizenship when you want to make your community a better place.

  The end.

Last weekend on Saturday I had someone in my class who had a beach cleanup for her genius hour. Genius hour is where you can work on anything you want.so she had a beach cleanup at Vilano Beach. It was really dirty after we left it was clean. We saw a dead bird it was really sad. We also saw dolphins it was really cool. I saw only like 1 or 2. The waves were really big.my teacher got the newspaper I was in it and the person who held the beach cleanup. The grossest thing I saw was a full beer bottle. The saddest thing I saw was the dead bird it was really sad. The coolest thing I saw was the waves it was so big and so cool. I wanted to jump in the waves it was so awesome. I also found a fortune cookie. And I found some nerd’s that were not empty. I got really hungry for those nerds. When I found the fortune cookie I read the fortune I don’t remember the fortune. I also found a cigarette and a cigar it was really gross when we got there it was really dirty when we left it was clean.

Genius Hour Update by Gracie

The last time I talked to you all I was just telling you what I’m doing for my Genius Hour last time I blogged, but this week is the actual thing it started on Monday and it ends on Thursday. This morning I got about 5 cans of wet dog food and some dry dog food I was happy and I thanked them a lot I haven’t gone around the school to collect yet but the two items I got were from Abby  and her brother Kaden! Yesterday I went around to every classroom in the school and talked to the students about what it is and what they can bring in I was really nervous in front of 4th and 5th grade and from 3rd 2nd 1st and kindergarten I got a lot of questions and had a lot of fun and all of my funds are going to S.A.F.E Animal Rescue. I’m hoping to get a lot of funds. The reason why I’m doing this is because I love animals and I wanted to do something with them and I wanted to volunteer but I know I’m to young, and I hate homeless animals or abused animals and if you or your child goes to Palencia Elementary School please help you don’t have to but I would love it if you did. Thanks!

Abby’s beach cleanup was a good idea for her genius hour. I had fun picking up trash with everybody that came to the beach cleanup. At the beach there was a lot of trash so it was easy to find. I bet Abby had a fun time at the beach cleanup. Only people in my class came but Abby’s brothers. We had to walk a lot to get out of the beach. The waves were big and the water could reach about 3 inches it was crazy. The beach was called violin beach. When the beach cleanup was over we all went home and said bye. We had fun at the beach and some of us were surprised because we had to leave violin beach already. I wish more of my class mates came to the beach cleanup. Besides I will tell you who came Dominic, Gracie, Ben, Grace and definitely Abby.

On Saturday I had a beach cleanup at Vilano Beach and it was the best thing ever. My brothers, mom, dad, Nonna, Grandpa, Dominic, Mr. Farnum, Gracie, Ben, and Spencer, that is all the people that came to the beach cleanup. The newspaper guy came and took pics of it. Then we started to pick up trash and there was a lot of trash and we picket a lot up but when we like got all the trash we started playing it was awesome. Gracie and I stayed together because we were the only girls there that were kids. The water was making water falls it was cool. Then we walked back me and Gracie walked together and talked it was all right but it was the best beach cleanup ever. Then when we got closer Gracie had to leave I was sad but then I caught back up with her and we walked back to the bathrooms and we talked for a while and it was the best. My brother Kaden found a bird on the beach, and was so disgusting. It was a white bird and it was a big bird and it was dead and he tried to pick it up but we had rubber gloves on but still it was gross.
